Just having a chat about buses at 2am.

Ok, so as the title suggests, I'm just having a chat with Chloe about the London buses. Yeah, you heard, it's 2am and we're talking about buses.

I was just discussing whether or not she should get the 271 or the 43, then weighing up the pros and cons of each route. After discussing the way it goes, I came to the conclusion that I prefer the 271 because of the way the woman's voice sounds on it.

271 to Highgate Village sounds much nicer than 43 to Friern Barnet. Especially with the bus lady saying it.

So I came to the conclusion that it's mainly the way the voice sounds that determines if I like the bus or not. The actual destination/route of the bus comes a very close second though. In accordance to these conclusions, I confidently stand by the fact that 38 to Clapton Pond/38 to Victoria is my all time favourite bus. The woman's voice pauses cheekily before and after the word 'to' in a way that asserts her authority. I mean, if anyone messes with her, she could just pull out a "The destination of this bus has changed. Please listen for further details" on you. RESPECT THE BUS LADY.

Moving on, the 38 has the perfect route as well. Ok, so I don't actually use it very much heading towards Clapton Pond, but it stops 2 minutes away from my house and takes me to a magnitude of different places. 1, Islington Green - very useful when I'm running late to/from Starbucks. 2, Angel/Goswell Road - once more, very useful when I'm running late, or just when I'm feeling lazy. Good for meeting people and going to college 3, Holborn - a useful bus stop to get home if I'm walking around there and cba to walk any more 4, Cambridge Circus - good for going down Oxford St or Covent Garden, right at the bottom of Denmark Street in case I want to buy guitar things 5, Chinatown/Trocadero - good for Beff times 6, Piccadilly Circus - very useful place to get to in general 7, Hyde Park Corner - the amount of Hyde Park jams that go on, this is very useful. 8, Victoria - granted, I won't be getting coaches any time soon, but it was useful for when I did.

Therefore, the 38 is perfect.

To reflect how perfect the 38 is, for my 18th, I'm doing the 38 Bus Route Pub Crawl :D

The awkward silence when...

... Noddy gets a boner.

That's a sight that no-one should ever have to see.

The awkward moment when...

... Itch from The King Blues tells you you're a joker and you're positive that he's opened a chat window with the wrong person...

He has me down to a tee, I swear.

S.a.M - The adventures of Sammy Jo

Firstly, I got another conditional offer! There's now a possibility I could be off to the University of Sussex. Two offers in a week - I'm in demand, baby! So yeah, that's all very exciting, as I know I won't spend the rest of my life working in McDonalds or something like that.

Last night, I went to the Paramore gig at the O2 Arena. It was actually a really good gig despite the fact a horny ginger person tried to penetrate my back during B.o.B's set (don't ask - apparently all manners and social etiquette goes out the window when loud music plays). But yeah, the first band ("Fun" I think. Rather ironically named...) were diabolical. Kind of sounded like Shane McGowan should come out at any moment to finish the song, but he never came. B.o.B (or Bob as I screamed a lot) was surprisingly good. Who knew he could actually play guitar? However, he clearly doesn't know his own birthday. Silly goose.
Paramore was brilliant! Hayley Williams is so much better live than she is on the album. And not only is she a great singer, but she's a great performer. She really connected with everyone there. It sounds silly, but I feel like I know her now. I would definitely pay to go again.

The only thing is that both me and Laura are only just over 5'. This meant that all the people that were taller than us (about 95% of the people there) thought it was ok to just knock us to the floor, or stick their afro in your face. What I wouldn't give to be just a few inches taller...

All in all, a very good gig (:

My only point is that if Bob can be called B.o.B, I want to be called S.a.M - that is all.

Had a very odd evening last night...

Let's just say there was a lot of alcohol involved, poured cider over my boots and it ended in me throwing a cat at a wall. Woops. Sorry :/

GANNON

Have a listen to some funky, weird and wonderful sounds all made by my friend Gannon (his name is Sam Gannon, but there can't be two Sam's. Therefore, he has been renamed Gannon. It's only fair). These are some rather odd monstrosities, but I like them.

Enjoy. And shudder slightly when you're not sure if the breathing is you or the record. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

The small things in life.

Doesn't the combination of these two wonderful phenomenons just make you so happy?

It makes everything ok again, and takes you back to a time when you had no real worries.

Long live Toy Story!

Peace out.
